A few weeks ago, at the urging of an old associate from my early days in advertising, I traveled to Boca Raton, Florida. Well, there is a very good reason why the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry has never used percentages off to promote products while the rest of the retail world has gone percentage crazy.
